From the age-old Sienese confectionery tradition we propose a variant of our ricciarelli. Ricciarelli are produced according to the original recipe with a mixture based on almonds, 54% dark chocolate, egg white and sugar. We make sure that our ingredients are always fresh and come from the best farms. The almonds we use are of the best quality and are selected by hand to avoid any possible impurities. They are of Italian origin, mainly from Apulia, soft, tasty and rich in essential oils that define their aroma. Each individual ricciarello is prepared, shaped by hand and sprinkled with powdered sugar. When the ricciarello has obtained the characteristic shape it is ready to be baked. Once cooled, the sweets are packaged in sealed, food-grade trays and then placed in decorated cardboard boxes. A product with an unmistakable sweet flavour with an almond aftertaste and a soft and non-crumbly texture. The chocolate gives our ricciarello a full-bodied but not too intrusive taste. Since our Ricciarelli with Chocolate are not glazed, they can also be consumed during the hottest periods of the year.
